2024-2-BG01-KA122-ADU-000282502

The Project “Artificial Intelligence and New Technologies Supporting People with Disabilities” has been developed under Key Action 1 – Learning Mobility of Individuals, Adult Education sector, funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. It is being implemented under Grant Agreement No. 024-2-BG01-KA122-ADU-000282502 between the National Federation of Employers of People with Disabilities (NFRI) and the Human Resource Development Centre – the National Erasmus+ Agency for Bulgaria.

The leading organization of the project is the National Federation of Employers of People with Disabilities (NFRI).

NFRI focuses on training, topics, and lecture courses that support the development of professional skills and employability of people with disabilities, individuals in disadvantaged situations, social entrepreneurs, and employers of people with disabilities. In this mission, the integration of new technologies and Artificial Intelligence (AI) plays a vital role.

The integration of AI in education is transforming traditional teaching methodologies, fostering innovation, personalization, and accessibility. This project aims to contribute to creating a more positive, accessible, and creative work environment for people in vulnerable situations.

To achieve this, trainers from the Federation will participate in two training courses in Italy and Ireland, and in experience exchange activities in Norway and Denmark to observe and adopt best practices and tools in use. The project aims to: • build the capacity of NFRI's training system in relation to new technologies and AI; • improve training programs to meet modern labor market demands and support key competencies and employment of people with disabilities; • explore practices and develop a methodology to enhance the training process through needs analysis and personalized AI-based approaches; • establish networks and partnerships between trainers; • promote and disseminate appropriate AI resources specifically adapted by trainers for the development of content and training for people with disabilities.
