BE AWARE

„BE AWARE“ is an international project funded under the Erasmus+ Programme, aimed at improving employment opportunities for persons with disabilities in Bulgaria and Portugal by strengthening the capacity of supported employment services and enhancing employer engagement.

The project addresses key labour market challenges by developing the skills of supported employment professionals for effective communication and cooperation with employers, providing employers with practical tools and good practices for inclusive recruitment, and supporting persons with disabilities in gaining greater access to sustainable employment.

Project activities include:
• A hybrid training programme for 30 supported employment professionals from Bulgaria and Portugal, focused on employer engagement and support for persons with disabilities.
• Pilot implementation of the training in both countries, with evaluation of its relevance and effectiveness based on participant feedback.
• A Good Practice Guide for employers and professionals, presenting successful examples, proven strategies and practical guidance for inclusive hiring.
• A “World Café” session involving professionals, employers and persons with disabilities to jointly refine approaches and solutions. • National dissemination events and an online campaign to promote project results and inclusive employment practices.

The project strengthens the capacity of supported employment professionals, encourages employers to adopt more inclusive approaches, and facilitates the sustainable labour market inclusion of persons with disabilities.
